Who are we? Some have called us Sultans of Suds, others have called us the Bishops of Beer. But no. No we are merely missionaries spreading hops and joy across the Known World and the Kingdome of Calontir. This is not a journey for everyone, but a journey for those of us who know the difference between a good Stout and a great Heffewiezen. It is our job . . no . . our obligation to bring knowledge and beverage to the thirsty masses. And Bring it we do, to whatever corner of the Kingdom it is needed, to whatever empty field is soon to be filled with the sounds of the clash of armor and sword, to whatever glen is to be invaded by purple and gold. We will be there so that those who thirst can find contentment at the bottom of a frosty mug. Those who have found us have found comfort and friendship. For a beer is still a beer no matter the hand that holds it. As all are friends who drink of it in our company.... where everyone knows your other name.
The Latest News from the Broken Harp
With a lot of work and help from some of our good friends The Broken Harp is progressing towards Lilies War. The Broken Harp will also, most likely, be attending Ages of War in August.
Many have asked me how they could help, and there are ways. Please remember that we walk a fine line every time we host a revel and have a donation box out. There are reasons we don’t set “suggested” donation levels or “make change” for people. We have always tried to avoid situations that could cause headaches for those in charge and us as well. If you wish to help, please remember to put a little cash in your pouch with your ID before you come to visit us. If you wish to help out in advance with the money to get everything started for the year, please contact Vincent directly.
Over the years the Broken Harp has expanded far beyond what Liam, Einarr and Alpin had envisioned. That has brought some bad but far more good things to us. It has resulted in a lot more work for a few of us, but as evidenced by the comments people make to us all the time, the rewards and benefits for all our friends make the work worth while.
